This is book I have loved since childhood, I am 61, and totally forgot it until I saw it up for auction. I was tickled and wanted to buy it immediately. It is a book for all ages, but especially appropriate for young children. The Littlest Angel provides comfort and assurance to all. It is story that assures all that there is hope for everyone in spite of our shortcomings. Anyone can relate to the antics of this small angel who finds himself in a strange place, alone in the sense that he is too young to understand why he is in Heaven without his family. He is simply lonely and misses his former life. He is also seemingly without friends because of the age difference. There seems to be no one that understands his need to be a boy. What a wondrous thing occurred when he met the Saviour as a baby. Finally, he had Someone that loved him in spite of his shortcomings. His most prized possession, the gift that he brought was just the right thing for a infant born into humble circumstances. It is a story of love and sacrifice for he gave freely of all he had, with no reservation.

  My Little Angel experience

Another book from my childhood that I just loved. The story is about a little boy who died and is learning his way around Heaven and his role as a little angel. This child's death is handled very well by Tazewell. He doesn't minimize it or dwell on it, but focuses on the little boy's entrance into Heaven and all the things he finds there. He makes mistakes and is gently quided by the Understanding Angel. He's an typical little boy who suddenly finds himself in Heaven with all his earthly habits still intact and must learn the the rules in Heaven. The illustrations are beautiful and show the humorous errors of the boy and the loving inhabitants of Heaven with their understanding faces. This might be a good book for a child who lost a sibling because it is not at all frightening. It's a gentle, soft handed book that children would enjoy... adults too. I loved this book and wanted to share it with my Joey and Ella who had twin brothers who died at birth. I think this is a beautiful book to help explain that our loved ones have gone from us but are still with us and happy in God's home in Heaven.
