LittleBigPlanet (Playstation 3, 2008)

I love the game its so innovative and very unique because its about creating, and playing together with friends which makes Little Big Planet a must have game. I can't wait to get my hands on it and play, and create levels.

PROS:
Unique & beautiful looking game
Original and really cheerful music
Great physics and platforming mechanics
Humongous range of customization and creation tools (levels characters)
Even bigger online community potential (Bigger than Spore by far!)
Story mode is really good (10 hours fully re-playable for bonuses)
Pre-designed level are excellent
Single-player wise it's GREAT, Multiplayer wise it's GODLIKE!
Co-op gameplay to finish levels is awesome
Sackboy (mascot) rules!
BEST NON VIOLENT GAME EVER!

CONS:
The tagging system is a little sloppy
Some minor editor tools limitations
Minor control bugs like auto jumping when you didn't want to
JUST FORGET THE CONS (the game is so good it is simply a must buy!)

Little Big Planet is a simple plataformer game that maximizes the formula of getting from point A to point B to the TOP. The gameplay mechanics demand you to solve numerous & challenging puzzles, most of the physic based. Team work is crucial, and it's just a blast to play co-op or online. User created content is literally infinite, considering the HUGE amount of tools provided in character and level editors.

Be it that if you are a parent looking for a good game for his son or a hardcore gamer, this game is a MUST HAVE (or at least MUST TRY) for ANYONE!
Finally the best reason to buy a PS3 (apart from Blu-Ray) has arrived, and its called Little Big Planet!

This is one of the most fun games I've ever played. My kids love it too. I highly recommend it.

The main storyline is that you play in a world conjured up by everyone's dreams. This game is exactly that - if you can dream it, you can make it! From customizing your character, "Sackboy", in just about any way imaginable, to creating your own levels, to even designing your own home space, or, "Pod", this game pretty much works for you! Tons of customization items can be found throughout levels, letting you let your Sackboy represent YOU. Using stickers and added decorations, you can fully customize the design of your Sackboy. You can also save the outfits that you make for your Sackboy, so that you can wear any outfit you make whenever you want. You can use stickers and decorations found on levels to customize the look of your Pod to the design of your EXACT liking. Still not enough? You can create your own levels, making them exactly how you want to. The tools that are given to you allow you to make your levels look as professional as the levels in-game. You can use designs that you unlock for your level, or you can creat your own designs, both 2D and 3D, by editing the existing ones. The sky is the limit - no - there IS NO LIMIT to the customization and fun that this game brings to the table. The story mode has amazing levels, and you can play them alone, or, for added fun, with friends! All in all, this game is WAY MORE than I expected it to be, and, in my opinion, it is one of the greatest, most innovative games ever created, hands down. You will definitely be blown away by this game, a clear 'Game of the Decade' nominee! (If such a prize exists!) :]

This is a great game with so much potential. But rather than getting into the details of the gameplay I will tell you that this game is suitable for all ages. This game is moderately complex at best although there are some interesting challenges which may prove to be a tad difficult for some fans in the younger crowd.

Gameplay easily reaches a 9.5/10 on my scale and the level creator would have to reach a 9/10.

For those of any generation, most can find simple enjoyment in a platformer, from old ones like Mario to newer 3D ones. Even still, to this day I have not met a single person who can resist the unbelievable charm of this game. Even after the main story ends, there are thousands of hours worth of gameplay left to enjoy in user-generated levels and a canvas as wide as your arms and stretched as far as the eye can see for those with a creative bone. This game is a perfect 10 title, with something to please any and all players.

I love that you can interact with everything in the game. It's a very simple, yet fun game. The fact that you can make your own levels is pretty appealing as well.

This game is terrific. I've had it for the last two weeks and everyone in my house of all ages is having fun with it. The game is easy to play using mainly the control stick and two buttons, yet even advanced gamers will find plenty of gameplay with it. I truly believe this game is going to be remembered as one of the classic games of this generation.
I do recommend this game, but make sure you have your PS3 online, that is how you will really enjoy it. The single player game is good, but downloading other user created levels and sharing your created levels is really where this game shines.

Having gotten my hands on such a great game early, I felt I had to write a review for anyone looking to buy.

This is truly an awesome game. I played it for about 3 hours straight the moment I popped it into my PS3.

PRO:
- Awesome graphics
- Great puzzles
- Funny soundtrack (scripted very well)
- Non violent... unless you consider cracking a giant eggshell open to see whats inside, violent. lol.
- Forces you to work to solve (easy)puzzles to continue through each level
- The ability to completely customize your character, and upgrade him/her as you unlock new options.
- This game will put a smile on your face any time of day.

CON:
- A little jittery in spots, like walking through platforms, and I found myself 1/2 inside a wall two times.
- Geared towards kids, but still amazingly fun for all ages.

This is a worthy investment for all ages!!

This game is very entertaining, loaded with fun customization and seemingly limitless map customization this game will entertain for hours. This game also has multiplayer which adds a fun take to the normal side-scrolling adventures. Once you finish the main campaign there is even more to do with user created content posted daily. overall I give this game a 9.5 out of ten.

This game is okay. Its more like a kiddy game to me. Creating your own boards is very time consuming. I bought it for my spouse, but he hates it. I play it from time to time. Creating your character is fun though.

It compares your score to other players throughout the globe (I got 100,000th place once!)

Dislikes:
No clear level-by-level progression

top game for any age. lots of community, trophies, points, etc. 2D type game, but has many options. play levels, create levels, compete - tons of vehicles, costumes ... totally adaptable. similar to the original mario bros. but super advanced. - you jump, collect point bubble, prizes, etc, etc. . online invite frieds to compete. create you own game with items you are given & earn. very enjoyable. was sceptical being a 2D game, but it deserves is high rating - thru the gaming sites.

So far this is one of my favorite ps3 games. In this game you control you're own 'sackperson' when you play the levels you accumulate stickers, decorations, costumes, etc. So you can dress up your sackperson and decorate your 'pod' which is where you start your levels from. The levels do get harder the further you progress but they are beatable so younger kids shouldn't have a problem. The graphics are amazing and very realistic. You can grab onto anything that is made of a soft material. Any age group would love the game from a kid to an adult. There are a lot of different things you can do as well. You can play online so other players can help you get stickers (some levels have certain points that need 2 to 4 players to get the stickers) you don't need to play online if you can't, but if you really want the stickers you'll have to get a wireless internet connection. Then you can also make your own levels and play other levels people have made. It's a game you can go back to again and again and there will always be something new to play. I hope that they come out with an add on to this with more of their levels though because it's a great game!

I should have bought this on eBay a while back, the price has gotten real low on here (about $30 on average)

But anyways the game is simply awesome, ignore the how "kiddy" it looks because it's really fun without the blood, gore, and hardcore violence many games contain nowadays.

This is a fun, creative, platformer. Has a few flaws like the jumping isn't so good. But otherwise it's really fun and the playing with others is even better. The story is short but the online is unlimited. There are some really good levels out there, I guarantee you will play this game A LOT if you get addicted to it.

So I highly recommend buying it, espcially on here.

The game is AWESOME! I get to create whatever i want on the game! I don't even beleave there is ANYBODY who doesn't like making their own stuff! If you don't have it,I URGE you to go out and buy yourself a Playstation 3 and a copy of LittleBigPlanet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story mode is fun and allows you to get a feel for the mechanics of the game. Pretty simple, but can feel sluggish at times due to this being a physics based game. But that's why it's fun too...

The creation of your own levels will take some time. Then when you go online and check out some of the 5 star levels (rated by the people who actually play them) you will be blown away. The creative genious behind some of the levels will amaze you. After playing a few of them, the musical ones in particular, and then trying to make your own, you will realize how hard it is and how much time/effort/creativity it takes.

I'm mainly a FPS player (KILLZONE2 baby!!) but this game is such a pleasant departure that I don't mind spending less time killing and more time trying to be creative (big emphasis on "trying"...).

If you are on on the fence about this game, buy it. It's tons of fun, for up to 4 players too, and worth it just to see how creative your fellow PS3 owners can be (seriously, it's amazing what some people where able to do).

This game allows you to personalize your character beyond your imagination.
There are things to collect making replaying of levels fun and interesting.
Once you are done with the levels that come on the disc you can go on-line and find more levels to play at no extra cost (as long as you have High Speed Interenet) You can also create levels in which other people can try to beat and you can try to beat theirs. This game will last a long time due to the neverending content you can find on-line.
The only negative I have found is that in order to collect 100% in most levels you will need to either have somebody at home or on-line play the level with you... Teamwork allows one player to hold down a button while the other player goes into a secret room to find stashed collectables.
