Little Mommy by Sharon Kane (2008, Hardcover)

As a child I drove my parents crazy with this book reading it over and over. So much I still have much of the book memorized. To avoid any mishaps with my precious original I bought my daughter her own copy. Another thing I always loved is that is looked just like the little girl and my daughter resembles her as well :)

This book was first published in the 1960's and my daughter, at 2 1/2 years old, had the book memorized. I understand that this was the case in a lot of families. It's a charming story of a little girl and her dolls: Annabelle, Betsy, and Bonnie. Sharon Kane has done a wonderful job of writing and illustrating. The older versions of this book are in demand and copies in good condition are pricey. However, the book was printed again in 2008 with a different cover and lots of other little girls will now get to enjoy this favorite. I bought 3 copies this time and will likely be buying more.

It was one of my favorite books as a child. My girls love the book and I bought it to put back for them when they have children. I'm glad it is back in reprint.

This is my grandaughters favorite book. She has to read it every day and at 3 years old, she has it memorized and will correct you if you miss a word. It talks of being a family and taking care of a home. It is well versed, with each page having a rhyming story line.
