I remember playing this as a little girl...and finding it extremely difficult. So I used to give up after an hour of only making it through the first two levels. Of course, I don't think it would've been any easier even if the hidden stuff was easier to get to. It definately wasn't designed for the right age group. But it was NES, and that was it's signature - difficult, endless games. Now that I'm older, I'll probably pick it up one day in hopes of making it through the first level without losing all my lives to little green fish.

Not only does the little mermaid bring back memories, but also great graphics! When it comes to color and a few other things it is also very good. Easy to understand.

This game shines ever since the opening cinema. The NES is a great system, but it was not known for its cinemas. Once the actual game begins, it just gets that much better. The levels are great to explore, and familiar foes pop up all throughout the game. The boss fights are really good, and skill is involved to beat each one. I also own Little Mermaid for the Game Gear, and I feel that this NES version is much better than it.

Difficulty Setting on my wishlist
) Considering the person interested playing this game when it came out (little girls), it is baffling how difficult it is. A good game for Disney/ Little Mermaid/ game collectors though. I wouldn't recommend for the casual retro gamer.

) well i really loved this game b/c i use to play it when i was younger and i couldn't find it any where. but when i found it on ebay i was very happy . so i felt that i had to get it. gret deal low price i couldn't ask for any thing better. but i love this game and it plays like new. thanks

It's an old Nintendo movie game. Are the graphics good? No. Are the colors good? No. Is the gameplay fun? Sort of. But then again, in today's age, if you're still using your Nintendo Entertainment System, then you're probably not out for a life changing experience. This game sort of skews off from the movie. Ariel can talk with legs before Ursula is killed. Ursula decides to attack the ocean and, for some really stupid reason, it's up to Ariel to fix it.
