Along with Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, this is one of my all-time Disney animated favorites!
I remember scrambling to the store to get the VHS version of this movie before they all ran out... I hear they are actually quite the collector's item these days.
This is the first of the Menken/Rice masterpieces - the score is magnificent. "Tour of the Kingdom" would do any classical composer proud - and the vocals are beautiful.
The animation isn't CG-quality, but has the charm that only hand-drawn can bring to a movie.
I enjoyed this 15 years ago - you will enjoy it today, and so will your children!
