Excellent series, tends toward grown - up themes.

This series continues the story of the Ingalls family, with some of the kids now grown up. Mary is happily married to Adam, and Laura marries her sweetheart as well. Albert is a teenager, Carrie a young lady, and Grace is full of personality. I thought that as the series continues in season 7, the themes mature with Laura. The men of the family set out on a competition to haul a wagon load of supplies to SleepyEye, and run into all kinds of difficulties, in one episode. The family takes in two orphan children in another episode. Laura and Almanzo babysit the two wild boys of 'Monzo's city brother - for a whole week. However, we were taken by suprise when we ran into the episode about the little girl attacked by a rapist. It was distressing to all of us. This is reality for some children who live with the horror of abuse, but it is so difficult to experience, even through a drama. These two episodes end with the girl being rescued, and the perpetrator receives swift justice. Besides recommending a bit of caution with children, I highly recommend Season 7 of Little House on the Prairie.
