Little House on the Prairie - Season 3 (DVD, 2003, 6-Disc Set)

I bought this for my Grandmother. She loves the show. It has six DVD, with four shows on each disk. The best part....NO COMMERCIALS! Plus being that it is "Little House on the Prairie" it is great quality family entertainment. When you watch it, you come to find how just how far prime time TV has sunk in 20 years.

This is a great season of "Little House" that meets with many of the adventures and tragedies of the Ingalls family!! It includes the "Race" and "Bunny" which describes the story of Laura and Bunny and the adventures and mishaps they encountered. "Gold Country" finds the Ingalls and Edwards moving from Walnut Grove in an attempt to find Gold and provide for their families. It also includes the classic episodes "Journey in Spring" and "To Live with Fear!!" A must have season in your collection of "Little House on the Prairie!!"

As always Little House is a great movie for the family, i loved it when I was a child and now my two girls love to watch it also. I would recommend any one to go for the complete series.

As a family, we love the Little House on the Prairie DVD's. The series showed what the past was like (to a degree) and how simple, yet hard, the times were. In a culture (now) that thrives on competitiveness and materialism; this series has the gracious opportunity to show how to live a simple way and still be happy with less. To show and appreciate the value of hard work and the satsifying rewards of reaping what YOU sew!!!!

Much to my surprise season #3 produced a change in theme to one of fighting and increased tension. Most episodes are built around someone getting injured or even killed. Few episodes retain that warm & fuzzy feeling that comes from folks loving up on each other. One exception is the episode about a run away 11 year black boy who finds his way the the home of the Ingalls where he has the opportunity to pursue his dream which is to attend school. A real tear jerker without any violence. Well written and the young actor is quite engaging. Even the baby of the family, Carrie, goes through trauma after she falls into an old mine shaft and needs rescuing. Charles is beaten badly in one show while managing to shoot himself with his own rifle in another. His mother dies in another. Mary needs surgery after an injury while even the Reverend Alden gets physical with a town bully during a Sunday morning service! Laura has graphic nightmares after seeing seeing what looks like a murder. Not a fun season and in my opinion far too violent for younger children so how can it qualify as a family program. Far too many examples to go into here. We will stick with the Waltons thank you. I hope these comments are helpful to those of you with children. What can I say! Love it! always have and always will. This season really starts to send the entire series upward with Mary growing up and laura starting to move into the bigger sister role.

I had started my collection about 3 years ago and had been unable to find them anywhere locally. Got on here and found it, so I decided to start adding to my collection.

Just love watching this series together as a family.Just a sweet movie without all the bad elements found in most movies today.

I have always loved this show, I am slowly buying the series for our personal collection, especially as my daughter grows up, I want her to watch wholesome, and entertaining videos....and Little Huse definetly does it!!!

The product was sold as new but was scratched and most discs would not play. This has always been one of my favorite series from when I grew up. I would recommend Little House for parents who want to instill good qualities into their children.

love the ingalls did when i was a kid beats whats on tv today micheal landon will remain alive every time i watch this need to get the rest .....

this is my favorite show on tv. i have paid for the item but they have not sent it to me yet. i have won four items from this same pawn shop and they emailed me and said they don't have them in stock. they said when they get them they will mail them to me. this is what makes me not want to bid on anything else.

Products came as promised. DVD's were in good condition as described. My daughter was thrilled to receive another set to add to her collection.

I love this television series. It is a wholesome family entertainment my whole family can watch. My children love it as much as I did when I was little girl. I bought Little House on the Prairie - Season 3 because I know my children can watch this without fear of bad influences.

This show gives you a feeling of being in a home place, and sometimes can just touch your soul.It's like being a kid again for me cause we watched it when I was young.Now that I am in my late 4o's I still like watching it and well its just my kind of show.

I like to start off and say I love Little House on The Prairie. So far I have watched season 1,2,and 3. I have found that the order of which they were played on the air is wrong with how they are on these DVD's. Some items on season 3 should have been with season 2 as well as season 2 on 1. I do not mind much, but it does make it a little confusing for the little ones. My 10 year old realizes this. The quality of season 1 is off; regarding the colors are sometimes redish and sometimes yellowish. On season 2 and 3 I noticed strange sounds like static and skipping. I know it is not my DVD player since I just got it back from the shop. Even though with all of this, I feel the picture is pretty good considering how long ago this was aired. These are great DVD's for yourself and the little ones. I reccomend this to all. Thanks

I am a home schooling mother of 6. We decided a while ago to get rid of cable, you can't even trust the commercials. We now have seasons 1-9 of little house. It is something we can all watch and enjoy from my 3 year old to my 14 year old. (and mom and dad too.)

This is a great DVD series. My children and I love to watch the episodes together. They are funny, sad and every one of them has a great message! This is so much better to enjoy as a family than some of the reality junk that is on TV now. The quality of the DVD set itself is excellent and finding it on ebay made it such an easy gift to give my daughter.
