Little House on the Prairie (DVD, 2006)

Have been a Laura Ingalls fan for DECADES by now.Loved this movie when it was on tv mini-series and now my 5-year old daughter enjoys it as well. Something we as a family can all watch and be entertained together, something that was promoted during the original tv series back in the 70's & 80's. I really enjoyed this version of the "Little House" since it seemed to be a lot more accurate to the book as far as my recolection, but I enjoy all "Little House" books and movies. AAAAAA+++++++++++++++++!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This 2 disc set is Disney's re-make of the original Little House on the Prairie Pilot movie. New characters play their parts well and the director of photography did a great job. This whole movie is over 200 minutes long and is a bit slow going to get into. Overall, good.

I bought this to share with my grandchildren as they are too young to remember the days of innocence and peace in the world.
I loved this program and the lessons it taught me and i felt that by buying this for them it would show them a little of how people used to live together and trust and help each other with out expecting rewards.
With all the war and violence in the world I thought a little DVD might give them a look at the other side of humanity
It worked they loved it and we are buying more

Good Family series, clean and wholesome, Highly Recommend!
IT takes you you closer to the actual book by Laura Engalls. Much DIfferent than the original Series with Micheal Landon, both are very good this ones just good in it's own way. Cant go wrong with buying it!

We really enjoyed seeing this set of movies. Before purchasing it, we saw it on TV and were pleasantly surprised. Usually, remakes of older things are not as enjoyable....but it really was. Not only are the actors/ actresses very good and well-suited, but the entire movie is like a pioneer-time show. It was very well done. In some ways, (because we already saw the Micheal Landon version Little House) it was a little hard to compare this to the older version. They are similar, yet different. I really enjoyed the "pioneer" aspect of the movie. It was full of intrigue, suspence, some laughter, some sadness.....but an over-all delightful movie!! You will enjoy seeing it, even if Michael Landon and Karen Grassle will always be "Charles and Caroline".

I absolutely love this movie. This DVD version has some deleted scenes which do take away from the intensity of the danger they were always in. I only know this because I originally saw it on TV. I completely love this movie and have watched it twice already.

i all ways loved little house ever since i was a kid it a good clean show to watch i love this movie its what we need in this day of age i still watch the series still today i hope it never gos off the air i love this kind movies and tv shows they need to make more of them.little house is the best ever and thats the truth too. sincerly lori.

disc was good quality and in perfect working order, the price was very comparable to ones in the store, as matter of fact cheaper. Well please with product for the price.

This DVD was purchased for our children, shortly after we read the book series. To clarify this DVD set does not follow the story line of the books or the popular TV series. Which is neither a good or bad quality.

The aspects of the movie that I enjoyed as a father are: NO FOUL LANGUAGE; a strong loving family bond; the reality of hard work; the building of friendship; children's obedience to the request/commands of their parents and the clear outcome of disobedience.
