Little House Books by Laura Ingalls Wilder (1989, Paperback)

I'm so glad I wasn't forced to read this in school, as I've now been able to enjoy it fully as an adult. I started with the 3rd in the series, Farmer Boy, which will not throw you out of order. Reading these books is an excellent lesson in history, of how people survived without electricity and so many of the things that we take for granted. Don't be put off by the fact that they were written for kids. Adults will enjoy these as well. It is a wonderful series for people who are interested in homesteading and self-sufficiency, as there are many detailed descriptions of things such as preparing a hog, gathering maple sap for syrup, making head cheese, and more!

I had the whole set of Little House books as a child and had always hoped to pass them along to my daughter. Since I have 2 boys, I bought the set for my 8 year old niece as a Christmas gift. These books transcend time and are as treasured today as when they were first published. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that the original Garth Williams illustration and covers have been changed.

I'd recommend these classics to anyone with a little girl in their lives.

I have always loved the Little House books and owned them as a girl. This was a fantastic chance to make them a part of my family, so my daughter can enjoy them as much as I did and still do.

I was in the 2nd grade when I first heard about Little House on the Prairie. As an adult I have watched all the episodes that come out on the Hallmark Channel. I now have my personal copies of the series as written by Mrs. Wilder. I'm a very happy reader.

My daughter wanted these books because she is an avid reader and had read one of the series and LOVED it!! So, where did we look but ebay?? NOWHERE!! We didn't have to go any further. Awesome pricing, awesome service and so easy to order!! Had great communication with the seller and all around, I'd have to say it was the best transaction I've ever done online!!

I got these books bran-new. The are old time classics and I highly suggest them for bed time stories. They were read to my fiance when she was a child, and they will be read my our children as well. Again, I highly suggest them.
