I dislike movies and I don't have time to watch them. I only watch a movie after someone whose opinion I respect strongly recommends that I see it.
Little Drummer Girl is one of those. I've watched it 5 times. It is filled with memorable lines. It is like listening to a symphony.

The Little Drummer Girl is a curious, edgy story about a woman (Keaton) resolute in her political convictions until they are tested. Through her experience, she sees first hand that Middle Eastern politics is more than just voicing her beliefs. Instead, she finds herself testing her beliefs when she catches the attention of the very people whom she feels so much scorn toward.
Soon Keaton is caught up in the contentious reality of Palestinian against Israeli and vice versa.
In the end, she learns more about herself and the beliefs she once steadfastly held are re-examined in human terms.
When I watched this movie, I wondered ... "Who won?" Was this even a win or lose story? No ... it is a movie about a human being caught between two worlds and trying to reconcile what is in her soul.
This movie and/or book is highly recommended; especially considering the current political climate.
