Little Britain - The Complete Third Series (DVD, 2006)

I first heard of Little Britain on a trip to England. I kept seeing billboards all around for the show. Then, low and behold, while watching TV in our hotel room it started. Finally I knew what the billboards were talking about. I hadn't even figured out that it was a TV show, the boards were a bit cryptic. Well, I haven't laughed so hard since I first saw Python in the early 70's. I caught two episodes on the trip. When I got back I started going into withdrawals from the show and was thrilled to see it on Ebay. I ordered all three available seasons on sight and they are all fantastic. The shows feature a series of skits, somewhat akin to Python, though the comedy is quite different. There are several repeating characters that are repeated on each episode in different situations. All are very creative and funny as heck. One is a young man, described in the show by the hilarious narration as a homosexualist, and that's just what he is. He lives in a small Welsh village and is very proud of being the "only gay in the village", though he has had no gay, or any other sexual experience and invariably will shy away from any that comes his way. Perhaps the funniest thing about this scenario is that the villagers in this village (all of them) are completely fine with his "gayness" and anyone else's, but he is bothered by any other gays that comes along, driving them away as fast as he can, determined that he is the "only gay in the village". It's precious.
Well I won't describe every characters' situation, but they are all very inventive and the acting is superb. You can't go wrong with this show.

The fun continues with TWO LADIES ... and new outrageous characters are added. If you bust a gut over series 2, you will once again with series 3. These guys are some of the most brilliant comedic minds today.

I saw Little Britain on cable TV and decided to buy this DVD...it is hilarious, very happy I bought it. If you want to have a really good laugh and love British humor, I don't think you can do better than this!

Laugh 'til it hurts. This skit series is raunchy, funny and totally not American. The characters are all disticntive and in typical British fashion. It is a low brow humor that tickles your basest laugh and it utterly "politically incorrect". A pleasant change from American TV where everyone is afraid to laugh at each other.
If you are offended by nudity, fat and handicapped jokes , vugarity, and sex in the alley, don't buy this set. If you want to laugh and tell your friends that you can't believe what you saw...this is the show for you.

they, these guys here in this series) are certified. if there was a reward out 4 them it woulndt be enough. i dont think even the insane asylum would take them in. they are so funny that they deserve 2 be where they are 2day. i hope that they go on 2 make a bigger name. i am still surprised that not many people are not familiar with this shows title nor the pople/makers. as for me by just having all 3 series is great & when 1 needs a good laff well just close your eyes & choose a disc. if u have all 3 series that makes it even more fun. they will have u lafffin your arse off through out the series & u will end with a favorite character (i did after season 1 & am still stuck on that same 1). if u can even just take a look at it Little Britian: The Complete Seriesu are gonna love it and not regret it. If it dont make you at least smirk or grin you sure will LYAO. thats what it does 2 me ---just about all the time (especially form the 1st time i ever saw/watched it) & i dont regret it. I bet Andy wouldnt either.

As over the top as these two guys are ..... you have to keep watching them. A great duo and an imaginative video .

I originally bought this for my son for Christmas however due to misunderstandings or whatever it didn't get here until after the New Year so I guess it was a combined Christmas and birthday gift. He loves it and that is what matters so I am happy to.
