Little Boys Bible Storybook for Mothers and Sons by Carolyn Larsen, Caron Turk (1999, Hardcover)

My 3 year old son and I love to read Bible stories together and so my husband purchased the book "Little Boys Bible Storybook for Mothers and Sons". My little one appears to really like it. The text is written in a very engaging way for little ones and the pictures are entertaining.

I do have a few problems with the book, however. The "stories" in the book have unique titles rather than the titles that we Christians have come to know. As an example, the story of the Good Samaritan is titled "A Friend In Need is A Friend Indeed" in the book. Yes, this is an apt description of the message of the story, but I had been teaching my son the more well known title of the story. When looking for a particular story to read from the table of contents, it is very difficult for me to find the applicable story when the titles are by far different than what I am used to.

Each story is followed by discussion enhancing text for both Mother's and Sons which is written on a 4-year+ level. The text for sons is titled "Becoming a Man of God" and I think it is very beneficial stuff for gleaning life lessons out of the stories.
