Excellent book! Couldn't put it down!

The best part about this book to me, was the turn of events, the shock and unpredictability of the plot. The humor was very clever and I found myself laughing out loud on many occasions. This was the first Nelson Demille book I have read, and it inspired me to read Plum Island, which is just as good so far. Don't pass this book up!

What is not to LOVE about this book! OHMIGOSH...one of the best books I have ever read in my life. This is a must read for people who love "government thrillers."

The Lion's Game by Nelson Demille
Review created: 11/20/08

I purchased this book because I love the author, Nelson DeMille, and I want to get all of his books in hardback. I have read about four of them so far and they are all fantastic. Hard to put down. Unforgettable. When this book arrived I was very surprised at how HUGE it was. I can't wait to dive in. I must mention that the book is in excellent condition and arrived out here in the country in very good time. Nelson DeMille writes on many different topics but most of them are based on things like military events, political events, trade events.....things that are really happening around us. I would recommend him to men and women alike. His books are literally unputdownable!

  Fast-Paced Thriller
Review created: 07/01/08

All Nelson Demille's books are fast-paced mysteries. This one is no different. The main good guy character, John Corey, is a funny wise-ass and a good detective...

Good Book, but ending did not live up to the story

I like demille....Night Fall was great and so was Plum Island. Lion's game was very good throughout...there were 900 pages of comedy and suspense, btu the ending did not do what the story was moving toward. I was dissappointed in the story which really leaves the gates open to Lion's Game 2!

The Lion's Game is a Crying Shame!

I have never been so disappointed in the ending of a book in all my life. The book is quite thick and the book had been recommened to me. The ending was extremely disappointing.

If this is indicative of Nelson Demille's writing I have no desire to read anything of his again.
