The Lionel Fastrack Book by Robert Schleicher (2006, Paperback)

I have been collecting trains for over 40 years and I have not had a sei up for over 20 years. I just recently started to set up my O scale trains and I did not know anything about Lionels new fastrack, so I purchased this book and I want to tell you it is excellent! It tells you everything you want to know about the track and how to use the old lionel accesaries with it.

Great price! I checked around other places and found this seller had the lowest price of them all! It came fast and in tip top condition!

ADVANTAGES : Well illustrated, this 158 pages book contains 185 illustrations (135 photos and 50 diagrams). High quality of illustrations and text make it easy to understand (my language is French). Very helpful for choosing pertinent Lionel Fastrack items on eBay or other distributors. Many big and small layouts.

WEAKNESS : Ping-Pong table layout (p.67-68-69).
New orientation of diagram layout (top p. 67) to be rotate parallel to photography (p.69) would ameliorate comprehension.
Exact location of trestle sets (6-12037, 6-12038) and bridge (6-12772) are not well represented in pages 28, 29, 67 and 69.
Some photos are unnecessary (ex. p. 29), repetitive (ex. p. 54-55, 68-69, 70-71, 72-73) or missing (ex. terminal track : 6-12016).
No range price are given for items on pages 18-19.

Great book full of need information for my fastrack layout. I especially like the many different diagrams that I can chose from. I glad that I bought this because it was full of great info and for a great price.

If your looking for answers on how to use yourr accessories with Fastrack, this is the book for you. Lots of lay out diagrams to choose from. Easy to read, follow and use as a guide. A+++++++++++++++++++
