The Lion King 1 1/2 (DVD, 2004, Limited Edition Collectible Packaging)

Over the past ten years I have slowly watched this unprecedented influx of unauthorized Disney products mainly out of print and vaulted Disney dvds.
This has happened because of the large amount of money that can be made on the fakes. I receive emails everyday trying to sell me cheap Disney imports for between $4.25 and $5.85 a copy. When they will bring upwards of $40.00 to $100.00 when represented as authentic. You can clearly see where the trouble starts.
I would like to attempt to help you spot a fake Disney dvd and advise you to report all the items you buy on ebay to PayPal and Ebay regardless of the negative retaliatory feedback or threats you receive from these kind of sellers.
PayPal and Ebay move slowly on these matters but I can assure you they do not want these kind of sellers on their sites and will take steps to remove them.
Things to look for
No Buena Vista stamp on the back of the dvd. Please note if the dvd was bought through a major retail outlet Sears, Wallmart, BestBuy and so forth this stamp may not be on it. However it will have security seals.
The weight of a 2-disc copy will be almost 4 ounces less than an authentic 2-disc Disney dvd.
Cheap cardboard slip covers.
How long has this seller been on Ebay?
Does this seller have over 500 positive feedbacks on Disney products?
Are they selling a dvd for much less than a reliable Disney seller.
No inserts inside dvd case.
Seller with a large number of this rare dvd.
These are a few things you can look for on Disney dvds.
With that said I can tell you that the majority of all Disney dvd buyers do not know the difference between a fake and a real Disney dvd.
The fact that you have a 100% lifetime replacement guarantee on authentic Disney dvds direct from Disney is more than enough reason to invest in authentic instead of cheap copies.
There are many honest Disney sellers on Ebay and the quickest way to find them is run a search on whatever Disney dvd you are looking for and then go to highest price buy it now. They are all within the top 10 of that list.

This one may not be as good as the Lion King 1 and 2. But it is close. If I gave 5 stars for the Lion King 1 and 2, I will give 4 stars for this one. Your kid(s) will like this one as well. Well made 2 disc set DVD focusing more on the story of Pumbaa and Timon.

This is an absolutely hilarious editoin to the Lion Kings. Though part 1 is good, this one I believe surpasses it. There will be non-stop laughing for the children and adults alike.

This cartoon was a great spin on the Lion King story. Timone and Pumba are back to tell the tale of what "really" happened in the first tale, and the antics even crazier. With the Lion King 1 1/2, Disney has put the finishing touch on a great story for all ages. This is an interest ing look at the lives of simba timon and pumba and takes place in the middle of the first lion king, when simba is still young.

I liked the postmodern twist of this movie. Rather than a sequel after a movie, this Lion King film happens simultaneously with the original. Sometimes really silly, this movie makes kids laugh, rather than sad. Nothing is too deep for kids to ask questions, but rather the pace moves quickly with one laugh after the other. The same brilliance of the Serengeti lights up the screen as well as their own paradise. The theme relates to friendship and Timon learns an important lesson. The music is upbeat and catchy and the characters have lighter, yet developed personalities. A fun movie for adults to watch and kids love it over and over again. A good one to buy!

This was the second time I tried to purchase this DVD. The first seller just took my money and is no longer a registered seller. So long $10.00. The second seller finally sent the DVD after I opened a claim because he is no longer a registered user either and I had no means of contact except the e-mail address in the original ebay listing. He never answered it. I finally received an opened used DVD that was listed as new. Another $10.00. It was supposed to be a gift. This seller had over 6000 good feed backs. So I feel very insecure making further purchases. These were two back to back purchases. I was scammed on both.

The dvd that i purchased was brand new just as it was advertised. The shipping was clean and undamaged. The service was quick and I would buy again from this person.

why did i bought it? this dvd was the favorite one in the 1990's for my son, he loved it and i wanted to give it to him so he could enjoy the old times.
The dvd was great, me and my son laughed , we enjoyed together, i loved the dvd , i am very pleased with it.

I BOUGHT IT TO COMPLETE MY COLLECTION OF LION KING MOVIES. I like how Timom and Pumbaa look back on scenes of The Lion King.You will see Timon's family and where Timon and Pumbaa came from.There is a little booger picking in the movie.I love it,my family loves it.

What is there not to love about the movie its disney.This movie is great for kids adults.Disney makes the best kids.

I really did enjoy this movie, it had a lot of funny and great parts. I personally enjoyed it because I always wanted to see the back story of how Timon and Pumbaa met, and what Timon's life was like before he met Pumbaa.

It ties in a lot of parts from the first Lion King movie. The only part of this movie that I didn't enjoy was that they kept fastforwarding and rewinding the movie, and the movie theater moments. If it didn't include so much of that it would have been a lot better.

Depends on your taste of sense of humor. This movie should have been the first edition released if the lion king as it can be confusing. It brings you back to the original movie as to how timon, pumba, and simba became friends. Mixed scenes and more geared towards a cinematic movie, but all in all the kids will enjoy.

My son enjoyed this movie so I suppose it served its primary purpose, but I found it very disappointing and annoying. Pumba and Timon do their familiar bits, but the movie is interrupted a few times in a 'Mystery Science Theater 2000' way where Pumba and Timon are in a movie theater, commenting on the movie. It was done pretty poorly without much creativity or original content. Get this movie if your kids are big Lion King fans, but otherwise I'd recommend passing on it as there are many better animated movies available.

I already own this movie. I decided to buy another copy for my niece, she loves this movie and did not want to give it back to me. This is a christmas present for my niece

Product was in excellent condition. My son was thrilled to get the Movie Lion King 1 1/2. We have been enjoying it on movie night with popcorn.

I purchased this for my granddaughter. She has played it and LOVES IT!!! She said that it was exactly the DVD that she wanted.

What can i say thid is The Lion King people. Great movies for kids, adult kids, movie buffs and collectors. Two thumbs up to the Disney team for producing good movies.

I'm a huge Disney fan!I thought the first was very original & this is just pure clean comedy,you don't have to worry about the kids watching it & there is no slant to it.It takes you back to tell the story of the 2 most beloved characters in the first movie "pumba & timon" and you will laugh all the way to the end.I give it 2 thumbs up even though it didn't get allot of press time it does with me.

Not an official part of the story, but still very funny. Same voice talents as before and they actually visit scenes from the original movie from a different point of view. If you liked part 1, you're going to enjoy part 1 1/2. The special features are cool too. If you've got kids, they're gonna enjoy it even more.

If you have not seen this movie, you don't know the 1/2 of it. The rest of the original Lion King story that is. Leave it to Disney to come up with another view of the story as only Timon and Pumba can tell it. I laughed like a little kid. Very cute. A must see.
