Linksys (NR041) Router

This was an outstanding purchase for me. The router worked and does exactly what I want it to do. Install took less than 5 minutes and I had both my ps3 and my computer online at the same time. Highly recommend.

I bought ine at a clearance sale at Walmart and it worked fantastic. We just needed a wireless router for a laptop. No problems at all with the system.

there alot more easy to set up ive been using the one i got off ebay ever sence i receved it and finding stuff on ebay is a sench if you know what u are looking for

This router is wired. It has a small footprint and is very easy to set up. On a windows system just hook everything up and pop your cd in and within minutes your network is up and running. On a Linux system it is even easier setup your network parameters and you are fully connected. I suggest this router if you need a small wired home network for a small price.

When I picked up this box I thought That will be another garbage but I was wrong. When I hooked up router to my comcast modem its started working without my help or some extra software

Because of some DSL issues out at my house, the service tech's decided to dedicate one phone line to my office for DSL eliminating all the filters from the phone jacks inside the house, also eliminating any DSL signal from anywhere else in the house. Not too long after their fix we decided to set two other computers up in the house (I have a large house). I am currently using the router as a switch and I was able to run CAT5 to the other computers through ceilings and walls to conceal the wires. I ended up bidding on two routers at the same time and getting them both. They don't go bad very often but I've got a back up if I need one, also if I want to add more computers, I can use the spare router as another switch. I am using the older one (the one in the picture) because it looks better next to my modem. The router was easy to set up, after I figured out that it had to have a different IP address than the modem and have had absolutly no problem with it so far. For the do-it-yourselfer home tech, remember: don't stack modems, routers and switches as they generate alot of heat. They need room to keep cool to preserve their life cycles. Linksys makes a good router. Since I have been around the technical side of computers and networking, I have never seen one go bad, and point of fact, I am not even sure if there is another brand ( I'm sure there is, I just haven't payed any attention to anything else).

Great Products and very reliable. Anything with a LINKSYS name on it is a very dependable product. I have other Lynksys items and they are always on and have worked without errors for years. I repair and upgrade personal computers and I buy a lot of the upgrade items on EBay and if there are Linksys products available for a certain item I need I will buy the Linksys item over another even if it cost more.

I bouth the item in order to connect my son's xbox to computer. I found it to be fast and easy setup. Seems to work just fine for what I needed.

I purchased this router because I had the same router before and it gave me years of service. It went out so I replaced it with the same thing. No muss or fuss with new wiring or software. Plug and play.
It was a good price by comparison so I bought it.
It is working fine.

Old technology. Unit runs very hot, about 90 degrees. It has history of dropping packets and disconnecting PPPoP and not automatically reconnect. If you planning to use this to connect server or business network to the Internet as a gateway, Pass...

This router is cheap imitation of old D-link and Linksys routers from 90s. Take it back to Wal-Mart.
