Can not ask for more. Them cable modem I need is to replace the comcast motorola modem which gave me unreliable service. This modem is very stable.

There's not much to say... It's a standard cable modem that does the job right. Easy installation, and reliable. I found this at a great price of a little less than $30.00 too.

Definitely get a cable modem of your own if you have cable internet. That way, you don't let the cable companies overcharge you for extra money per month of $5 or whatever for leasing a modem.

Get cable internet if your DSL is not reliable, which was why I switched to cable. DSL speed/connection is dependent on your location, and AT&T was overcharging me for a year for the speed that my location couldn't get!

Do not buy this modem. When you call the cable company to give them the MAC address, they will tell you that wither they no longer support this modem or are getting ready to phase it out over the next few months. Save yourself the time and money and make sure the modem you are buying is DOCSIS 2.0 compliant, not this piece of garbage.

Simple, simple, simple:
1. Called Comcast to confirm this model modem is compatible
2. Buy it.
3. Connect (manual is needed - instinct!)
4. Call Comcast for activation.
That's it. Works!

easy to install works like it should why pay comcast for rentals when you can buy this modem pay back is less than one year

I bought this as a replacement for my current cable modem. Once it was plugged in and everyint set up it has worked like a charm. I have had no problems with it.

This is a fast and reliable item. It is plug and play, but you will have to call your cable internet provider to sync your cable modem.

The cool thing is if you have both modem and router, it stack up perfectly together.

Item was an old model and didn't work with Cox internet services. I have been very happy with Linksys units but not this one.

I went from an Arris telephony cable modem from cox communications to this Linksys modem, setup was a breeze all I had to do was call cox and give them the modem mac address and serial number. I went from around 13mbps according to speedtest.net with the arris modem to between 30 and 50mbps with the linksys modem... This modem is awesome, no complaints. Interfaced seamlessly with my linksys wifi router syncced right up in under 40 seconds. I can't believe the speed increase from cox's crap to this modem. The only regret is I didn't buy it sooner. I download a LOT (mostly torrents) and I'm already noticing a HUGE difference.

Lightning-quick Fed-Ex shipping. Product arrives and performs like a brand new modem. Factory refurbished products can actually be better than new ones as they are typically updated and individually tested before going out, unlike the A stock. This is a great way to break the rental leash from the cable ISP, just like I just did with comcast.

Very good product from a good ebayer. The product works well and I got it in a very good deal from ebay. I tried to get it online from other sites and I didn't got any good deal.. finally from ebay I picked it. Comcast started charging $5 per month for modem, then better to have one and save money in a longer run.

I already have a linksys G router, so I love the stacking design. This gives the units a nice and clean footprint. Power surge killed previous cable modem. Tried to use a Zoom cable modem but it needed to be restarted too often.

Great product, easy to install, all the information you need is on the modem. Perfect for a small work area. Pick this modem because of its slim features and the size of product. I just recieved the L:nksys modem and I am already happy with it performance.

compatibility seems predominant w/ Linksys especially when Cox media has no trouble incorporate the Mac Address into Cox database. Initialization of unit via telephone guidance is a breeze. The modem's response to cable internet and signal detection has been at the core of a reliable Wi-fi experience, that users would benefit from in a seemingly a very long haul, notably when no Blue tooth feature is required among the user's technological criteria

I've actually used this exact model for years. It has always functioned flawlessly, and maintains a rock solid connection around the clock. I use VPN quite often, and it stays up forever, or until I need to reboot or turn off the computer. It's easily managed from any computer on the network via a web based tool. Very reliable piece of hardware.

I was pleasantly surprised when i received the item, it was in perfect shape and was easy to set up this was one of the best and easiest transaction i have made on ebay in a long time. kudos too the seller they did a wonderful job all around from start to Finnish.

this is a version 4 unit and it support DOCSIS 2.0 for faster broadband. it's always on feature is a big plus for me: I don't need to power cycle the modem anymore when the cable signal get worse sometimes, I switched from Moto SB5120 and now it's proved a right decision.

I DIDNT GET TO USE THIS ONE BECAUSE I ASSUMMED THAT EACH ROOM HAD TO HAVE ITS OWN MODEM UNTIL I TRIED TO REGESTER IT WITH MY CABLE PROVIDER AND THEY WONTED TO CHARGE ME ALL THAT EXTRA MONEY. AND SUGGESTED THAT I NEED A WIRELESS ADPTER. HOPEFULLY I WILL FIND SOMEONE THAT NEED ONE I CAN SELL IT TOO.

Other:Ive owned a few of these modems and ya cant go wrong with them really..But iam sure that at some point crapcast and others that use cable internet will add some extra snoopy scumbag security and youll have to abandon doccis 1.0 and 1.1 for a 3.0 and newer due to the extra snooping..

This is very easy to set up and has great performance. I've used this model
with a few different providers and it always worked great.

Working perfectly on my Charter 10 meg service! Also works great for VoIP and P2P. It does produce a fair amount of heat, so make sure you have it in a well ventilated area.
