The Lineman's and Cableman's Handbook 7th Edition
This is an excellent reference manual and should be in any lineman's library. It has the best blend of easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and clearly defined pictures in support of that information. Many other books either have the information given in too cerebral a manner; i.e. using 25 words when 10 would be sufficient or displaying the photos in an obscure relationship. I thought the font choice was very good as well allowing the reader not to need bifocals when reading. The binding is such that the book lies flat when opened to a page without 'breaking' it. The cover is sturdy and water resistant. Edwin Kurtz and Thomas Shoemaker have written one of if not the best reference of it's kind and McGraw Hill once again packaged it in a most professional manner.
