Like Vines by Hush Sound (The) (CD, Jun-2006, Decaydence)

This has to be the most addictive band since Panic at the Disco. Last year I saw Panic in Rhode Island and correctly predicted they would be huge. The Hush Sound appears to be just an innovative with an added edge of having an excellent female singer. The songs "Wine Red" and "Sweet Tangerine" are definite hits. The rest of the CD is strong and shows an incredible range of material. A slower song on the CD called "Magnolia" is also excellent and the subject of a video contest by fans currently. You can catch the band on the popular video sites to get a better feel for them and please do, you will be seeing next years video award winners a year ahead of time! Great work here !

they are a really really great band from my county! they play really good live and they have 2 really good cds! i love them!

Back for their second cd, The Hush Sound proves why they are gaining "Momentum." With more variety in song styles and vocals, this cd is gaurunteed to please anyone who listens to it. Greta mans the piano and supplys a bulk of the vocals. Chris is on bass. Darren plays the drums. Bob Morris plays the guitar and handles the rest of the voals. Greta comes back with a stronger voice, and even Bob Morris has managed to somehow perfect his prefect voice! This band needs to gain more popularity! All songs on this cd are good. Their title track kicks off at number one and starts out the cd with an upbeat tune. The song is followed by a catchy piano tune entitled "Dark Congregation" and a very very catchy "Sweet Tangerine." "The Lion's Roar" is a folk song with a rock/pop twist. The cd just gets better and better with each song. I strongly recommend buying it! When you do, check out Bob Morris's vocal range at 2:45 in "Don't Wake Me Up."
