My 17 and 13 year old's both rated this book excellent. For readers who like Harry Potter and those kinds of stories, this book will be the perfect fit.

) The Lightning Thief is a great book that not only gives students a great introduction to Greek Mythology, but also uses easy word choice and an interesting plotline that appeals to students who don't normally read. I especially like that it appeals to kids who struggle with reading (Dyslexics, etc.) by saying that if you have trouble reading it may be that you (Like Percy) are a demi-god. Additionally, it's the start to a series, so kids who get hooked, keep going!

This is a Fantastic book equal to Harry Potter in every way. I understand Chris Columbas will direct a movie, as he did with Harry Potter, and I am sure it will just as sucessful.
