I can honestly say this CD/DVD set captured my attention from beginning to end. The Video Diary chronicles the history of My Chemical Romance from their humble beginnings to the world famous group they now are. The story is told through their own words and the words of those who know them best. It is an honest documentary that deals with their struggles including the alcoholism and drug use of lead singer Gerard Way. He overcame his additions giving hope to many young people. It is refreshing to see talented musicians who stay true to themselves and their music while deeply caring for their fans. Also included are the videos from "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge". Two videos for the song "I'm Not Okay (I Promise). One is the video normally seen and the other is a video which is great because if gives up a glimpse into the homelife of the Way brothers at the time. However, not only do you get the videos you also get the "Making of the Videos". It is so interesting to see just how much work and thought goes into making these videos. On the DVD you can also find TV Appearances and Online Performances all of which are full of energy that the band is so well known for. The CD has 11 live performances which are excellent and there is even a previously unreleased jewel titled "Desert Song" which is hauntingly beautiful. "My Chemical Romance Life on the Murder Scene" is a must for any MCR fan but I believe is a a must for any music fan!

I bought it because i love the band's music and was interested in obtaining some live performance audio/video. i think the DVD is excellent, though i haven't finished watching it. the making of the video specials are interesting and the band's journal is definitely interesting as well as you get to know what motivates and inspires a band which is always important.

This cd/dvd combination was packed full of raw energy and true talent. Each
artist displayed such a human side, I wanted to reach out and hug them. Plus,
the talent from each GENIUS is so unique that their sound remains very distinctive. They did a stellar job showing us very personal behind the scenes
information on the inner workings of their band and lives in general.
I've seen them in concert and they are some of the most beautiful, exciting, talented, and kind hearted guys on the planet. This dvd captured their personalities and didn't hide anything from the audience. They are all very intelligent and I believe they do have a positive message to tell. They prove you really can follow your dreams. They encourage the audience to stay positive and well informed.
In addition, the live music on this album is so spectacular!!! Gerard Way sings like an angel, and the others play like angels. I play the cd several times a week. I love the combination of Frank Iero and Ray Toro's guitar sounds!!! Their talent is beyond incredible!! They bond two totally separate styles and blend them beautifully. Mikey Way is also such a super bass player!! So much talent!! And Mr. Bob Bryar is a marvelous drummer!!! This band is a true family!
All in all, they've maintained such a cute sense of humour about life. And, their music has helped me thru some rough patches in my life. So I'll always love them for that!!!

MCR is amazing! This is a great collection, b/c it is 2 dvd's AND a cd! The video diary is amazing, and I like them even more now! It's definitely worth your money. :)

If you are a real fan of MCR this is a must have set! It contains a little of everything, live performances, interviews, videos.... Even if you think you have seen it all before you will find something new and fun to watch.

This DVD is fantastic. It not only contains awesome live performances, it also has an in depth DVD Diary about the history of the band and their hopes for the future. I haven't felt this passionate about a band in years. I can't get enough.

If your a true MY Chem fan this is a must to own- will make you an addict for the band- lots of early info/interviews and lots of MCR knowledge!! I love it.

its amazing. On one DVD it gives a look behind the scenes of the beginning of My Chemical Romance up to the release of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. it has lots of footage of the band lyke touring, interveiws,and more personal life. on another DVD it has the videos and making of the videos for "Helena","Im Not Okay(I Promise)", and "The Ghost of You". plus another video for Im Not Okay that shows mostly the life of Gerard and Mikey at there house and stuff.
and finally. the CD has live versions of songs taken from various performances. plus the song "Desert Song", the demo version of "Bury Me In Black", and the demo version of "I Never Told You What I DO For A Living".

My daughter is a huge fan of the group. I had never even heard of the group until I attended a concert (Projekt Revolution) and now I'm hooked.

A must have for MCR fans. Watch them while they were still an underground band, eating chips and salsa and if they were lucky a hot meal. They paid there dues and are well desrved the fame and fortune they recieve. Gerard's mastery of lyrics has brought the band a new found fame throughtout the world. A must have for any grunge/goth music lover.
