Life of Blessed Margaret of Castello by William Bonniwell (1983, Paperback)

I live near a town that has a chapel named after Bl. Margaret of Castello so I was interested in learning her story, and I am so glad I did. Born of noble parents and rejected by them because of her deformities and blindness, Margaret overcame all these obstacles to be an example of Jesus living among the people of her time. Her story is inspirational to all those with disabilities as well as those without. Her story is so interesting that I read the book in just a few days. I couldn't put it down!

This book touched me in a profound way. It really made me look at the things that I take for granted and those things that I complain about. To see the way sweet Margaret lived her life in spite of tremendous challenges, challenged me to look at things differently. I also ready this to some of our older children and they loved it as well.
The book is a quick read. I encourage anyone and everyone to give it a try. It will make you a better person!

The author tried to be as historically correct as possible. A fast read for anyone wanting to get a good overview of her life.
