a wonderful book of a true hollywood star- Gives a true insite into the hollywood of days gone by , and, one of it't greatest artists. A must read for Auntie Mame fans!

This is a great book for anyone who likes the older Hollywood era (30s and 40s) and are interested in learning more about a great, but not as well known, actress from that time. Her writing is very funny and sharp. I enjoyed the reading a great deal. She died of breast cancer shortly after is was written. Knowing that makes it quite sad.

I collect biographies of the silelnt screen to 40's actresses. She is hilarious to the point I couldn't read it in public because I would burst out laughing. I wished she had lived longer, she was wonderfully funny.
