Life Application Study Bible (1997, Hardcover, Illustrated)

An NIV bible Life application study bibles are great study bibles. This is my second and I have really enjoyed. It give you footnotes on most verses so it interprets for you. Be aware of weight though. The one I bought is a hard back so it is quite haevy to take to church so, it is best for home use.

There are two versions, one from an earlier publisher and one from the current, but having both I can tell you theres little differance between the two.

This Bible is well researched, even pointing out "grey" areas on both translation and interpretation. Its not only great for that young someone with a great deal of qestions, but also those who have beem using the KJV for years. It gives a better understanding of what they have read or do not feel sure of.

Makes a GREAT teaching tool, too! When used in a setting along with both the KJV and the NKJV, you can cover ground you never thought possible!

I love this bible! I can't believe that I am saying that a bible is INTERESTING!

First of all, there are so many applicable every-day explanations of the bible verses we have all heard but never truly understood. I never knew a bible like this one even existed!! And I am going to buy more for friends who have 'old fashioned' bibles and never read them because they are so hard to understand! If you have ever wanted to understand the bible, THIS is the one to get!

If you believe this voodoo christian nonsense and really want to become a complete brain dead zombie this is probably the book for you. The people who "translated" this document of fiction surely must have been laughing aloud at the absurdity of it. But, one never knows. Just remember that the kingdom that has caused the greatest number of deaths is the kingdom of jesus. Uhmm?

I love this Bible. It is my second Life Application Study Bible.
It has everything you need to learn more about the scriptures. Lots and lots of commentary on scripture, maps, history of each book of the Bible, a great concordance, and so much more. I bought the hard back this time as I used the soft back so much, the pages started to come out! It is heavy though. If this one wears out, I will probably buy another as I like it so much. The study bible is very easy to read and to understand. I would highly recommend it, for a 1st time reader of the bible or for a extentive study by a seasoned bible student.

It's a great bible, it breaks down all the verses making it understandble. It also gives a little background allowing you to relate to today's methods. It's helped me for my weekly bible study class.

Beautiful Bible; like-new condition; reasonable price and shipping. I'm reading the Bible from beginning to end, for the first time, instead of excerpts here and there. This Life Application Bible is very helpful in answering questions I've had, and helping me understand the Old Testament.

There are no negatives I can give this book. I bought is because I had previously purchased The New NIV Womens Life Application Bible, (also purchased on EBay) and wanted a more in depth description of all the people, events and places that I was reading about. I wanted to make sense of my life after years of struggle and lost hope. I have found my answers in both Bibles. I would recommend The Life Application Study Bible for anyone who wants to become more educated about everything to do with the Bible, the writers, the people in it, the events, all of it. It is very in depth but very easy to read an understand. I am very happy that I bought it, absolutely no regrets.

This study Bible offers both scripture and explanations of the scripture on the same page. There are pages that describe the main people in the books like John etc. There are also maps in the back that are very helpful. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in leaning about the Bible.

If you are a Bible Student you need the Life Application Bible, These are full of insight, it makes studying the Word of God so much more enjoyable. As a primary study Bible the commentaries notes are exquisite. Yes most good Study Bibles have some sort of commentary notes at the bottom of the Bible page but these have a bit more in details.

Wonderful Bible, easy to read no matter which version you study.

Get them while they can be found I have a tough time finding sometimes....

I had serious doubts about ordering off of ebay. The beginning of February I ordered 2 Life Application Bibles. I received 1 about 2 weeks later. I thought this was wonderful. I still have not received my 2nd book. I don't know what to think. Should I be expecting it soon or did I get ripped off. My confirmation number is 12958. If I don't receive my 2nd book, I will never order anything off of ebay again.

This Bible is FULL of insights that make the scripture come alive and make more sense. It also helps me put the wcripture into daly practice. Our entire confirmation class uses this BIble and they LOVE it!!!

The Life application Bible is, in my opinion, the most helpful Bible in the marketplace. It is filled with commentary on how the scriptures relate to our lives. A nice compliment to the NIV study Bible which gives tons of "factual" commentary on the bottom of the page.

I recently purchased the Life Application Bible a month ago.
My daughter had a similar Bible and thought I would enjoy using one like hers. I like it very much. I had excellent service in getting the book in a very timely manner.
The only disappointment was that the previous owner had written her name on the face page and hadn't advertised it as such. However, that isn't a "big deal" as now I have a reminder of who was willing to share this great book with others.
I would recommend using ebay and half.com to others to purchase books or other items.
