Deepak Chopra has done a wonderful job in givng us hope about what happens after we die. His careful and studied explanation of the processes that occur after our bodies cease to exist has given me great hope that one day I will recognize my deceased husband on another plane. This book is well-written and carefully planned. I felt renewed joy and hope after reading this book, and I learned a great deal about a phenomenon that I had heretofore only imagined in shadowy concepts. Since every human is bound to die, I highly recommend this book to every living human being.

Chopra intertwines the different religions and their beliefs in death along with a fictional story of an Indian husband and wife into his beliefs and Indian rishi beliefs in the afterlife along with "factual" findings including science and near death experience stories.It is well done and not too difficult to understand. It should be very comforting and informative to all who worry or question the eventuality of death.

Don't bother unless you want to learn about Hinduism(he really explains this religion beautifully). It is simply his recounting of his childhood religion that he believes is the answer to all other religions. Chopra CAN NOT prove life after death, and I find his views of other religions objectionable. Chopra is for self indulgent boomers and yuppies. Personally I find him a bore.

) Like to comparison of spiritual concepts through out the religions of the world. Great book for those exploring their own spirituality. Some Indian folk lore, but done interestingly. Easy to read and understand. Not pretentious as some books can be. Enjoyed his book "The Third Christ" much more.

I have read many books by Deepak Chopra, so i always enjoy his insightful and wise points of view about life and health.
This books very helpful is seeing death and life as one process. We all will have to go through it, so it is necessary to have a clear understanding about death.

Saved $s on this purchase. Wasn't sure how easy reading this would be. The book came brand new and in perfect condition. Still wading thru it page by page. Ebay is the only way to buy books.
