This was one fabulous story- I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series! I am a proud American and it reminded me once again how fortunate I am to have been born in the greatest city (NY) in the greatest country on the planet! My grandfather served in WWI & WWII and I cherished him!

I am a WEB Griffin fan. The book was ordered on 4-2-09, was charged for it, but I have not received it. I have purchased several books from ebay and have been satisfied, for the most part. Not all merchandise ordered has been delivered to me. I would appreciate a response from ebay

This book is very well written the author knows the technical side of war as well as the psychological side between the professional soldiers and also of the effect on families in time of war. The story although fiction creates an uncanny correctness of the time line of World War II and the events that unfolded

) I have at least a dozen W. E. B. Griffin book , all bought on half dot com and like all of them, All his characters are exceptionally well developed. When I finish this review I will go to half dot com and order The Captains if it is available.

A FORGOTTEN SERIES BY GRIFFIN?

I say forgotten because I am a fan of Griffin's works. I look for fiction that entertains me and allows me to mentally relax and go for a joy ride. W.E.B. Griffin's many series and his cast of characters does just that for me. The Brotherhood of War series is the last of his for me to finally get around to opening up. Well, the Henrico County library system here in the Richmond,Va. area didn't have a copy. eBay is the logical place to look for an affordable replacement. As was espected, this book is great. I am almost finished and have already reserved,through the library,the second book of the series. You should too! Handclaps, whistles and cheers!!!
