Lidia does it again. The mastermind behind Batali's food finally gives america some insight into her own country and its regional cuisine. though it does not go into great depth, it's a great start and an excellent source of reference. Filled with Italian recipes, fresh ingredients, local producers and farmers, this book will encourage you to go to your local farmers market and cook a great meal tonight!

I wanted this book, and I found it on Ebay for less than half price!!
I have cooked a couple of the recipes, they are delicious!!
I recomend this book to anyone who is interested in Italian cooking.

I like some of the recipies, there aren't enough photos of the dishes. The reason I decided to buy this book is because Lidia is the all time best chef on television. I have her other book and enjoy it daily. She put too much unnessary information in this new book that did not interest me, its a cook book, not an informational tour of Italy. Or so I thought.

I'm a long-time fan of Lidia's cooking, addicted to her shows and owning most of her cookbooks. I don't need "smell-o-vision" to sense the gorgeous tastes of her food when she takes that show-closing bite. Everything she makes is wonderful.

A great Italian cookbook if you are looking for "real" food from Italy...not run of the mill "Spaghetti & Meatballs". Lidia is an inspiring soul and her passion comes through in this cookbook.

I have a great deal of respect for Lidia and I love her books as well as her television show. This newest book is no exception. The recipes are not overwhelming, but I have not had an opportunity to actually try one yet. I have seen her make some of these dishes on her television show and they look very tasty. Also, some of the scenes of her travels in Italy are magnificent.

I have always watched Lidia on TV fixing these great yummy meals, but her books tend to be pricey......so there you go. buying on Ebay made it so much more affordable! I will definately do it again!

I haven't read through every recipe yet but so far it is delightful. Lydia's simple way of giving instructions is completely there. I could hear her voice in my kitchen while I read which is exactly what I was hoping the book would be like.The ease and enjoyment of her cooking style is felt as you go.The recipes are categorized by each section of Italy from which they came.Some very hearty, some more delicate, a very nice variety. I can't wait to get started cooking!I believe this book will inspire you too.

This cook book is fabulous. With inspiration from her history to the history of Italian cuisine, this is a wonderful purchase. The recipes are wonderful. Buy it!

I have followed Lidia's cooking shows for years and had to have this book. The recipes are wonderful and most are easy to prepare. I highly recommend this cook book to everyone who likes to try something new and delicious.

For us lovers of Italian cuisine, this is extremely well-written with explanations (alla Marcella Hazan)for things that may not be available here in America. Shows you the diversity of Italian cooking from North to South. Would love to visit Friuli and Venezia. A lot of material for one cookbook. Definitely a keeper!

I like the book because it has many of the recipes I saw recently on her TV show. Being of the Italian Heritage I wanted to see the different variations of some recipes. I also wanted to look at the deserts we never made at home. The book was in excellent condition. I am glad I didn't purchase the book in the store for the price difference.

A book my wife had wanted for a long time. It contains many recepies of menus that we experience while traveling in Italy.

I ordered this book in December, but never received it. The transaction never showed on my account and Paypal resolved the matter and got my money back. I am a fan of Lidia's TV show and wanted the book because it describes her favorite areas in Italy, not just recipes. I am going to see it at our library before trying to purchase again.
Everyone should be very careful selecting a seller, and look at the feedback they have received. This seller has been suspended from selling on ebay as over 100 had a negative experience like mine.

It took a little while for it to be shipped to me but once it arrived eveything was fine. I would oder from them again!!!

I bought this book for my mom who was born in Trieste and came to the US as a WW2 war bride. She watches Lidia all the time. This is the 2nd Lidia book I bought her. She told me she had a recipe in the book for Trieste that her grandfather used to cook for her. My heart melted. My mom is so homesick, I was sure Lidia's book would bring her back there and I know she did just that. Many thanks to Lidia.
