The Librarian 3: Curse Of The Judas Chalice (DVD, 2009)

I think this must be a cult thing for the people working in libraryland, as I have come to think of my career. It was interesting at the beginning and some cute phrases that I am familiar with like "this job is sucking the life from me" and of course the ever favorite "I'm NOT giving my life for the library" and some others that were funny to hear. Some of the pyro technical stuff was interesting the library itself and the magical things inside of it. That was kinda interesting and then the plot line sank into the abyss. Then is became tedious and boring unfortunately. I did LOVE the title as a gag gift,sorry.

This is the third, and I hear final, installment of The Librarian movies, made for TV. It's a must for collectors to keep their set complete. I like Noah Wyle in this character, and the historical/legendary references. I would hope for more in this series--maybe Quinn could finally get a girlfriend!

The only distractions in this made-for-TV movie were the obvious "commercial pauses" which weren't present in the first two DVDs.

I basically bought this Dvd because I've become a big fan of Stana Katic's. I was pleasantly surprised with this Movie. Noah Wyle plays the Librarian who is coerced in finding the Judas Chalice. Stana Katic plays Simone who has a reason for the Librarian come to New Orleans to find the Chalice. I really liked this movie there was action and mystery. The only thing I didn't like was the end! But, all in all it was a great movie!

The reason for purchasing this dvd is that I have the other two in the series and this completed my collection. The characters are played extremely understated by Noah Wylie and Bob Newhart. They could have gone completely campy and overboard and ruined the series but they are consumate actors and did not. The concept of the library that contains artifacts from legends and myths is ludicrous butplayed as if factual. And the librarian whose job is not to classify antiquities but to be an unwilling James Bond and save the world is played by Noah to perfection. He always has an assistant that is more capable than he is but he still comes out the hero. This is an outstanding dvd and you do not have to watch the first two in the series to enjoy it but I would recommend that you get all three. Enjoy.

Noah Wylie, (ER), stars in this movie. This is the 3rd in The Librarian series. It's action/adventure for young teens & adults. It's simular to the Indiana Jones genre. This 3rd one was the least of my favorite. It's about vampires. Although it does stay on the same course as the other two movies in the series, I'm not a favorite of vampire movies. This one, I would classify as Adults & over 16 yrs. old. Noah Wylie however, does a great job in this movie. If you like the other Librarians & vampire movies, you'll like this one as well.

I had already bought the first two movies and when the third came out I was eager to get it so I went right to ebay. It came up and I bought it. it was just as good as the others. It kind of reminds me of Indiana Jones with a smart twist to it. Also it has comedy in it. This movie is good for all the family and I would recommend it.
