OK if the price is RIGHT!

I have owned this since Dec. 2002, and it went out of production in Sept. 2002. It reminds me of one of those Rubbermaid Storage Tubs, and when I got it, some of the sleeker models were being sold at Costco, but were not stand alone at the price point I paid!
Actually I paid too much, new, at $129 at office maximum, but I was using a credit on a printer I ordered and decided I didn't want. The plus in my mind was that it uses cartridges I have been using (for Black) since 1998 in a Lexmark 5700 clone from Compaq called the IJ900.
The ink price is high, but the ink cartridges are eminently refillable! What is more I purchased a Lexmark X4270 about 2 years ago, and found a new one, non-refurbished for forty dollars with shipping which I sent to a family member, as I did a used eBay X83, which is why I am reviewing it here. Today, I was watching but didn't bid on an X83 (refurbished) with 2 inkjets cartridges which closed unbid on for $0.01 and $12.95 shipping; while the one I sent to family cost $30 used, but shipped.
I don't think the print quality was a s good as the Lexmark 5700, but it does scanning and copying satisfactorily IMO. I seem to have some alignment problems. But these days, I have a HP 1020 Laserjet bought new with shipping for $90, to be my workhorse. It seems drivers arne't available for Vista.
