Having grown up in Amish Country, I found this one of the truest portrayals of Amish ways and life. I learned some things I didn't know, but the true beauty is Cramer's ability to portray the journey of a Christian in ordinary circumstances with page-turning interest.

I bought this book as a gift purchase for my mother and grandmother.

I am really into the Amish culture and their lives and this one is a switch as it is about an Amish son leaving his family and the work it took him (and his family) to accept him back into their fold.
Fantastic ready!!!

The book was very well written and I enjoyed it. It explained alot about the Amish that I didn't know or had the wrong thought about. I just brought Dale Cramer's other books and can't wait till I read them. I bought this book because of the christian content.

I always enjoy reading about life in the Amish community & this book gives good insight into customs & traditions therein. Characters are well developed & the basic format is easy to follow. Situations seem realistic &easy to relate to if on has any contact with the Amish community.
