Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke (1992, Hardcover)

I purchased this book because I remembered reading it a while back. I needed it to share with some young filmmakers. The reality of the matter is, no matter what art form you are in, this book has some incredible advice. It is an amazing epic that transformed the life of a young writer in ten letters written over a period of over ten years. The advice is invaluable as is the presentation of the work itself. It's honesty is startling in what we know and believe to be true as participants in the arts and what actually IS true. This book is something read and re-read by novice and seasoned artists.
