Letters from a Slave Girl by Mary E. Lyons (1996, Paperback)

This is a great book. I have been wanting it for a while. You cannot know where you are going unless you know where you have come from. I think that every African American person should read this to know the horrific times that our ancestors endured. I think that every other race should also read this to get a better understanding of the struggles that our families have faced. This book will also allow us all to be so much more gratefull of what we have now.
