Let's Sound Out Words by Liane B. Onish, Nancy Jolson Leber (2006, Paperback)

My 5 yr. old granddaughter had a problem sitting still and listening in school this past year. I thought I would try and help her retain what she had already learned, plus help her to be better prepared for the new school year. This book is excellent. It introduces a phonics skill, along with a picture. The student traces, reads, and writes words, as well as being able to practice writing skills. It also helps the student learn sight words that aren't able to be sounded out because they do not follow regular spelling patterns. What is also good is that she can work at her own pace. She enjoys the book and looks forward to working in it.I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to help their child with reading and writing skills.
