In Let the Right One In, 12-year-old Oskar (future heartbreaker Kåre Hedebrant) and Eli (Lina Leandersson) enter into a deadly form of puppy love. The product of divorce, Oskar lives with his harried mother, while his new neighbor resides with a mystery man named Håkan (Per Ragnar), who takes care of her unique dietary needs. From the wintery moment in 1982 that the lonely, towheaded boy spots the strange, dark-haired girl skulking around their outer-Stockholm tenement, he senses a kindred spirit. They bond, innocently enough, over a Rubik's Cube, but little does Oskar realize that Eli has been 12 for a very long time. Meanwhile, at school, bullies torment the pale and morbid student mercilessly. Through his friendship with Eli, Oskar doesn't just learn how to defend himself, but to become a sort of predator himself, begging the question as to whether Eli really exists or whether she represents a manifestation of his pent-up anger and resentment.

The movie was actually a few or even maybe one of a kind...... It actually went in a different direction versus most vampire movies in which it explored the concept in a pre teen sense......I liked it very much.... 2 thumbs up,too bad it wasn't made in the US.....

Always been a fan of the creepy and unusual horror films. Great story, beautifully filmed. Recommended to me by a friend.In a world of cookie cutter horror films, this one stands apart. Fresh and different.

I liked this movie very much. I read the book and was enthralled immediately. I questioned whether the movie could portray what the book did, so I was weary to buy it. I was able to get a greta price on it and free shipping though, so I purchased. The film expresses the girl is a vampire as a small fact in story as a whole. It's not like most crude and ridiculous stories where it's the entire focal point. There were many characters and she brought them all together. It was a love story and a mystery. A comedy and a drama. I loved it.

One of the most impressively made films I have ever seen. Simply stunning.I couldn't begin to recommend this movie enough.
