You can't help but believe Chely Wright when she sings on RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. She easily blends the earnest feel of 'old' country with the immediacy of today's sounds--steel guitars, fiddles and synths get along just fine side by side. This CD definitely places her in the top ranks of country's new ladies. Her songs range from the vintage sound of "The Love He Left Behind," a ballad which tugs at the heart strings, to the undeniable danceability of the title track and "Listen To The Radio," two chart-ready classics-in-the-making.
