I decided to buy this DVD because I love Leslie Sansone's walking programs. However, being a newly-removed-from-couch exerciser, I found it a bit discouraging at first. The exercises focus on your core muscles - abs, butt, gluts and thighs - which are key to losing weight and fitting into smaller sizes. Leslie gives beginner, intermediate and advanced positions for each move. Alot of these Pilates moves remind me of the exercises we did at the Elaine Powers gym in the 1980s. So, although tough, it's an excellent program. If you don't want to spend $400 on a machine or personal training programs, this is a great way to start. Just don't go overboard and hurt yourself! It's important to do the moves correctly.
