I have been buying Leonard Maltin's annual Movie and Video Guide for years, but I recently saw a copy of his Classic Movie Guide in a bookstore and bought it. This is a great book for fans of classic movies. Unlike the annual Maltin guide, this book includes entries on films which have never been released on VHS or DVD. There are entries for more than 9,000 classic films!
This is a wonderful resource for movie buffs. The director, stars, year of release, a log line, and other salient information are given for each movie, as well as a rating based on a four-star system. I have found Maltin's evaluations of movies to be very reliable, helpful, and just. I frequently use his guide to decide whether films which air on TV, especially on TCM, are worth my watching.
If you love classic movies, don't hesitate to buy Leonard Maltin's Classic Movie Guide. It's excellent.

We usually get Leonard Maltin's movie guide and with it getting so big he divided the classics into another book.If it is out there we can usually find it in this book.
