Leonard Cohen - Live In London (DVD, 2009)

My hobby is Great musitians DVD collection. Leonard Cohen's songs in my colletion were in CDs. Now I've got increadible opportunity to enjoy video with him and Sharon Robertson. It's a real pleasure!
My purhase was delivered timely (as I assume - 12-14 days). Thanks a lot for good job. My next order will be another Great musician and gitarist Sonny Landreth as soon as delivery ti Russia will be possible. I'm waiting for proposal.

I had to buy this DVD of the concert in London. I was at the Dallas show in April 2009 show and it was probably the most moving concert experience of my life. This DVD captures that experience. Leonard Cohen’s graciousness and professionalism is not just present in his performance, it’s genuine. His aged but yet strong baritone voice only compliments the harmonies of his back up singers, while being carried by the full sound of the band. I can not express enough how much his stage presence can be felt on this DVD. It’s only one disc and doesn’t offer many features and probably isn’t as fancy as other DVD menus but justified none the less. For under $20 this is a must have for any Cohen fan. I say buy it and listen to the music of one of the century’s last great literary artist of our time.

In particular these recordings are a true delight!! These combination of artful melding of poetry is what true music is meant to be. The performers show what artistry it takes to maintain the obvious love that comes forth.Every time you listen the more a different message are conveyed. Mr. Cohen sets the realm above and beyond of all others and that we are privileged to experience and enjoy.

I enjoyed this concert, very much, and will be viewing it over, every so often.
I saw the tv special and wanted to see the whole concert.

Years ago I worked for Columbia Records when Leonard Cohen was one of our major artists. I was impressed by "Suzanne", but beyond this one song, I was not a Leonard Cohen fan. Over the years, times and feelings change. I recently watched this concert on PBS and was blown away by the ease with which Mr. Cohen approached his material and the audience. I became a "Cohen Convert" and knew I had to purchase this package containing this London concert. To say the least, I was not disappointed. His "Dance Me To The End of Love" is absolutely haunting. I highly recommend this package to Leonard Cohen fans old and new. It is simply done, but truly outstanding.

I bought this DVD cause I am a big fan of Leonard Cohen for many years.I had seen the concert on TV and just had to have the DVD..One of the best songwriter of this century in my opinion..His band and backup singer are THE BEST..I enjoy watching and listening to this concert over and over and get goose bumps each time..I LOVE YOU LEONARD COHEN..Some of my favorite songs and some I never heard before..And what a great bargain to buy it on EBAY...

We like Leonard Cohen and my husband was disappointed that PBS did not air the entire show during its recent fundraiser. I found the DVD available on EBay and we have viewed the whole thing twice already. My husband also likes to go through and pick out his favorites for a re-listen.
It's a great DVD from Cohen through his band and back-up singers. The musicianship is great as is Cohen's poetry. Buy it!

This is a Fantastic DVD, Leonard at his best. Just to see the smile on my husbands face while he watches this is a great reward. Not only is Leonard in fine form but you get to see all the members of his "family" at there best. I say family because you can see the great admiration he has for each individual of the group. If you love Leonard Cohen you just have to add this to your collection.

JUST LOVE IT! CONCERT IS BEAUTIFUL AND SO IS LEONARD COHEN. I AM GLAD, I HAVE THE DVD. THE GUY IS STILL "KICKING" BIG TIME. I JUST WISH, HE WOULD RECORD MORE SONGS. HE IS NOT ONLY GREAT COMPOSER AND SINGER BUT A1 POET. EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS DVD!
