Highly Recommended for upgrades or Projects

This company makes more than just this bridge. It has the Leo Quan Original BADASS Bridge {A-MFing-mazing} Then the BADASS II {not-so-great} and The BADASS III {This Bridge}. Of all those, yes I've owned a bass with each, The #1 is the most solid, but the #3 is right on it's tail. The saddles aren't as solid, but They do have the option of being pre-grooved for you. The BA3 gives you the option to not have to take it to a pro-shop every time you change gauge, and the freedom of multiple grooves for many string positions on the bridge. You aren't confined to always using the same gauge EVERY SINGLE time. The BA1, you have to file you own saddle grooves, and can't use a different gauge than what it's grooved for. Also on the BA3 you can put it on any bass now. It gives you the option of String-thru body or going straight to the back of the bridge. That way, If you change your bridge, you can still use the holes in the body, but also have the option of using it like a normal bridge. There are also multiple holes in the back of the bridge for making it up to an 8-String bass. You can add more tuners to the headstock and double up the amount of strings on the bass. It is, by far, One of the most versatile bridge on the market, you can put it on anything, and do anything with it. If utilized properly you can make a 12 string bass out of your string-thru-body. It has a solid design for maximum sustain, and attack. It's versatile design makes it usable on any bass, and highly desirable for projects. The unique ideas put into this bridge make it the dreamer luthier's best friend. Any idea you can come up with can be brought to life with the right tools and know-how. In my opinion, If the original BA 1 doesn't work for the job, than this is the best option you have. It's worth buying one to put on the bass you've been playing for the past 10 years. You thought you knew everything about that bass of yours, well this will totally change your attitude towards your instrument. All of the sudden your notes will sound better, last longer, and roll easier off your fingers. There really is no reason why you shouldn't be using one of these right now. There IS NOTHING BETTER OUT THERE. [period]. I didn't believe the adds when I saw them, about the sustain difference and the initial attack difference. After a while I bought one and slapped it on an old BC Rich of mine. AND HOLY CRAP!!!! I was blown away by the improvement it made immediately. I thought my bass was as good as it was going to get. Neck-thru EMG's Grover Titan tuners, ya know. The works! This baby was Amazing as-is, but the bridge alone Doubled EVERYTHING. The electronics even sounded crisper, and the bass even felt smoother. It's a holy experience touching one straight out of the package. You won't be able to understand what you were missing until you actually try one of these on a bass you thought you were familiar with already. They are a luthier's wet dream, because of all the diverse positions it can be used for. Any dream you can come up with for custom designs, the Badass 3 bridge will be perfect for!! I can't stress enough how really awesome these bridges are. It's hard to tell which is the better bridge 1 or 3. The 1's are more solid in their saddle design, but the 3's are where the diversity in uses come in. It's usable in any situation imaginable. I'm currently making a 7-string bass of my own. Guess what my choice for bridges is? In fact, it's the only 1 I found that'd work anyhow.
