I decided to buy this because I am obsessed with Zelda, have all the games, in the process i'm on 13/15 beating them-wise, and finally a book I can read for English class not directly...but mostly...about Zelda! perfect! So it wasn't really about Zelda, I learned some new philosophies but most of it was like wtf? and took me hella long to read...like hellllaaa long to understand these concepts. Also, they make NUMEROUS MISTAKES which really angers me because all of us people who REALLY play Zelda would definitley know...AghaRim vs. Aghanim, KOKARIKO vs. Kakariko...uhh yeah they're obviously not Zelda players...and even one guy starts out his chapter saying he's only played like 2 titles and hasn't even finished them...I bet us Zelda nerds could write a much better book, and they explain the wrong things-I feel like this didn't at all explain why I liked Zelda...like I think I'm Link? Not really...you're waaaaaay off the ball. Anyways, the errors pissed me off the most, it's called PROOF REA D I N GGGGGG damn anyone heard of it. It's not worth more than $15 so wait till it goes on sale. Trust me, it's not getting recommended by me-I suggest if you want to know about Zelda and you don't already know everything then take this book with a POUND of salt. Otherwise, read it and agree with me! Overall it was a good read though, making me think differently about alot of stuff even though some of it wasn't related to Zelda at all. =)Long live the Triforce!

While the mega franchise "The Legend of Zelda" can never be called a craze, "The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy: I Link Therefore I Am" looks to explain the deep issues provoked in the games over the past 22 years. The topics dealt with in the book help to make sense of many concepts experienced during gameplay and delves deeper into topics the average gamer wouldn't consider. While there are a few futile chapters that provide no real insight or interesting information, the majority of the book is a captivating and enlighting read.
