Best Zelda Game Ever? 22 of 27 people found this review helpful.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released on Halloween Day 1998. It took the epic of the Legend of Zelda and made it so much better than it's ever been before. You play the role of Link, a young boy who discovers his destiny is to rescue Princess Zelda. On your adventure, you will interact with dozens of people, journey through many towns, and fight hundreds of different enemies. The game takes place over 7 years, and things change over those 7 years. For example, children grow up, towns develop new buildings, and quests differ depending on your age. The game is filled with a massive amount of seemingly endless secrets and side quests. I would say that this is by far the most atmospheric game on the N64, meaning that there are more places to visit in this game than in any other game. This is arguably the best Zelda game ever made, and there sure have been some gems in the Zelda franchise. Anybody who owns a Nintendo 64 should own a copy of this.

Pretty good! I'm not a crazed fan of Link/Zelda games. But what the heck, this game is fun. Lets start. I'm sleeping, someone is calling me "Link, Link, wake up". I open up my eyes and see Zelda. Come with me, you must pick up something. "Sigh, alright". So, as I follow here, and get what I want, I wander around a bit, and then I must go to the king and then sh*t hits the fan, an evil sword changes the whole world and turning Zelda in to stone (if I am wrong, haven't played this game for awhile haha). So, my story starts, to save the world, once again from evil... The story has been done many, many times before, evil is here, you must save the world. So yeah, lets continue :P. The controls are pretty good, you have the four point thingy and your l and r button and a,b buttons. The graphichs look bright and happy, I rarely had a moment where I thought, this game looks poo. As about the difficulity: "this game is easy to play hard to master". The sound is good also, the usual Zelda music sounds and things like that, dunguons have eary music while outdoors sounds nice. Speaking of dungeons, that's where you are the most of the time, which is not bad, but can be annoying. The puzzels are pretty good, and mind boggling, at times. My overall is: Great gameplay, good sound, good controls, just plain fun to play.
