The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (Game Boy Color, 1998)

As it was on the original Game Boy, Link's Awakening was a masterpiece. The DX version is more or less the same but with more colors, and a dungeon exclusive to this version. You can assign weapons and items to whichever button you want. The best feature of this game isn't the items though, but the story with Link existing in a dream of the Wind Fish, a giant creature that resembles a sperm whale, not a fish. The music is also incredibly beautiful, and that's really saying something for 8 bit music. It will in all likelihood make you cry. This is a fine entry in the series, and if you're a Zelda fan it's a must have.
