Great Fantastical movie!!! I can't believe blockbuster does not rent it anymore!! It had been forever since i have seen it last ans really wanted my wife to see it. She is a hard sell on movies and she absolutly loved it.

It is seldom that I double back on a movie more than once. In the case of "The Legend of 1900" I liked this film so much I bought a copy on line an put it on the shelf with others that I like to watch over and over. Movies such as: "Out of Africa"; "The Bridges of Madison County", "Treasure of Sierra Madre" etc. Then I made the mistake of loaning it out. It never returned and I forgot where it went. After lamenting its loss, I bit the bullet, reordered it on line, and put it on the favorites shelf where it shall stay this time. The movie has the whole package--story plot, philosophy, great acting, incredible music and wonderful cinimatography. As another reviewer wrote, suspend belief, lean back and enjoy the ride. I give this 5-star film an excellent rating without reservation.

I recently purchase the DVD of The Legeng of 1900. I had first seen it on TV. I just loved the movie. The music was just great and I loved Tim Roth. I think it was one of the best acting jobs I have seen him in. Then it could be that I just loved the movie. I really enjoy period movies. So I just had to add this one to my collection. I can said that if you like acting, period movies, get this one for your collecti. Great.

By far one of my most favorite movies that I can watch many time over. If you enjoy none mainstream movies, music, create stories, with no big headliners; this is the movie for you. I happened across it and was delighted with the story. Great movie to watch alone or with a loved one.

This movie will inspire you to find the genius that exists in all of us.

Best way to watch this one is to lower your expectations and let this movie take you away.

Although I suck at music and can't read a note, I really enjoyed the movie which is a movie with music and a genius. Nothing like Amadeus, to me that was hard to watch.

Remember setup a mellow mood, lower your expectations, and let yourself go.

This intriguing film totally held my attenton throughout. In the ultimate
piano scene, the playing is beyond incredible....can anyone really play like
that? Imagine a man being born and living on an ocean liner his entire life,
never once stepping foot off the ship.

Not only is the piano music wonderful, but the film score by Ennio Morricone
is as well. As one who loves music, I was spellbound by this movie. It is
well worth adding to your DVD library.

I love this movie. The music is wonderful, and the story is touching and deep. I am 57 years old, and my 30 year old son, and 18 year old daughter also love the music and this story of this movie. The only thing I dislike about it is that the "F" word is used, but it fits when it is. But still would have liked the movie more if the "F" word wasn't in the movie.

It is a rare movie that I accually search to purchase. Great music, story and overall fun. If you own any DVD this should be it.

This is simply a beautiful film. Picture quality, music score, acting,
story line. A pure masterpiece. I score this film 9/10 easily.
From the minute it begins, till the powerfully sad ending you'll be

PS. The only reason I scored it 9/10 instead of 10/10 is I wish it were longer.

My friend first introduced me to this movie, but I couldn't find it in any stores in the U.S. I found it half.com right away and gave it as a gift to my dad.

Wonderful character study...supurb acting and storyline. I'm usually not much of a chick flick type, but this one is truly worth watching! I originally saw a portion of this movie on cable, and decided that I had to get it and see the entire thing. My entire family watched it with me, and even my kids liked it-including my finicky teenager! A must see!

I rented this movie before I bought it. That, in itself, is some kind of indorsement to the movies draw. The plot is very original and the casting was wonderful. I don't want to give the plot away so I can't be explicate in the movies overall story, but be that as it may, during the film I was so drawn into the story that I felt on some level that I had known the charactors in a remote past and thus can testify to the authenticity of the fact. It is a rare pleasure to be this mush of a participant rather than a spectator of someone elses life.

The plot of the Legend of 1900 is seemingly boring when you read it,but when you watch the film you discover it's about so much more.A few definite aspects of the film are love and its power to make you falter,the benevolence and persuasion of those around you,and staying true to your ground.The main character seems like a person who will never falter,no matter what the circumstances.I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

I have loved this movie forever! I recently just was able to find it on Ebay at a good price.What a great movie.It really takes you on a journey.
