Legally Blonde: The Musical by Original Cast (CD, Jul-2007, Ghostlight)

I never saw the actual movie, except for a very, very small part of it. I'm a guy ... it was just another chick flick to me. When I heard it was going to be on Broadway, I expected it to be just an awful product of the mass movie-based musical movement. But the New York Times review made me curious about it. I managed to watch it from Bend and Snap to the end thanks to the MTV airings. Eventually I decided to actually check out the soundtrack. I am so happy that I did.

The music is really good and the songs help you to follow the storyline although there are times when you have to check the synopsis to see what happened between songs. The cast does a superb job with each song. While most of the songs make you feel like you're on a sugar rush, there are some breaks from the positive energetic songs to go into some sad moments. My personal favorites include Serious, Chip on my Shoulder, Take it Like a Man, and Legally Blonde. While most of the others are good, the only two that I don't really care for are The Harvard Variations and Blood in the Water. While I still think that the storyline is rather silly, I would still like to see this show and I would very much recommend this soundtrack. Although, you might want to check out some samples of the songs through something like Amazon.com before buying this, just to make sure. But just don't judge this CD as bad just because it doesn't seem like it would make a good Broadway show. That's what I initially did, but once I gave it a chance, I found myself pleasantly surprised at what was really here.

I saw Legally Blonde the musical on tour in Charlotte and it was FANTASTIC. I love almost every song on this CD. I haven't taken it out of my car since I got it. If you love Broadway soundtracks this is one you definitely want to add to your collection.

Oh My God. The best soundtrack. I love it. I hear it everyday, hope to see The Musical sometime, Laura Bell Bundy and the cast make laugh a lot and the CD's its the same as the play!

My daughter absolutely loves this cd. She watched the musical about 100 times and we will will get that too if it ever comes out on dvd.

This CD is an original cast recording of the broadway musical. it's fun and cheesy, I saw the show on Broadway as well as on MTV, the soundtrack sadly doesn't relate as well as eigther of the former mentioned. A few tracks are worthy of listening to and singing along with. However, I bought the CD more because I am a lover of theater and a fan of some of the artist in the production, if not for their performances I regret to say I probably wouldn't buy this product otherwise.

OMG, you guys! My daughter and I saw Legally Blonde on Broadway and LOVED it! We didn't get the CD at the theatre, then later regretted not having the songs. eBay to the rescue, for a lot less!

The story line follows the movie; the upbeat music and relevant lyrics added to each scene make it "even funner!" Anyone who listens to this CD can't help but smile - whether you've seen the musical or not. These songs can stand on their own, and you'll be a shower-singing, foot-tapping, bend-and-snapping, don't-care-if-the-people-in-the-next-car-see-me fan in no time. There is obviously a "cute" factor at work, but that just adds to the overall experience. It's Legally Blonde, not Shakepeare! Thanks, Elle and friends!

Was disappointed after receiving what was supposed to be a "new" item, received instead an opened and damaged item. Daughter was very unhappy at the condition of the item.

I bought this for a Christmas present for my mother. It came with the original packaging and was shipped quickly. I am glad I bought from this person.

I absolutely LOVE this musical so when I saw the soundtrack on ebay with the beautiful and talented Laura Lee Bundy singing on all the tracks...I had to have it! It is a great CD and I listen to it almost daily!

Love it. Very fun music. The catchy kind of music that you find yourself singing a couple of hours after you listened to it.
