Learn at Home, Grade 1 (1999, Paperback)

Very well thought out curriculum. Everything you need to teach your kids at home and more. I doubt anyone would actually be able to do all of the field trips that they recommend, but that's just optional anyhow and it's better to have too many ideas than not enough. We're on our fourth child using the same book and the results are great.

Wonderful resource. American Education has mapped out a full school year, covering all subjects, and breaking it down in easy to use format. One thing I really loved about these books are the planners. Having homeschooled three children, I was able to use the planners from each of their books to help create an overall planner to keep them all on track - and keep it all within a reasonable budget. We used this series as a base, and added our own projects thru the year as well. When tested, each of them placed above their grade level! Who says homeschooling has to be expensive? I highly recommend this series.
