Leader of the Pack? Why, yes I am!
A co-worker who is a fellow dog lover recommended I read this book one day when I was griping about my mis-behaving Akita. My Elvis (named Elvis because he is tall, dark, handsome and a rebel) would take ME for a walk, instead of the other way around. On one memorable walk, Elvis showed me how I could fly without the use of an airplane. The result was that I missed a week of work due to my back being wrenched, not to mention the humility gained by doing a 'face plant' in the shrubberies!
All that has changed since I began incorporating the excellent exercises given in Leader of the Pack. Elvis is much more obedient and really didn't object to the 'new house rules'. He actually seems happier now that he is no longer in charge.
I highly recommend this book. It is easy to read, short, to the point, concise and make a huge difference in my dog's behavior by changing my behavior.
