I find myself watching this film over and over. Every time I feel like I'm in Paris. The apartment, the alure of art, and typically French love affairs. The intermingling of books, romance, money, and flaky people. Its a good story based on good writing, which always makes for great films. Its great for a rainy afternoon, enchanting slice of France. MR / update, I just listened to the unabriged book on cd. Wow, a completely different story, maybe I am bias, but the book was excellent, but the movie was much better. My hats off to the script writer, because the movie is a better story. Any budding script writer should read/listen to the book, then view the movie. This overlooked movie really has depth to it.
