By Myself Lauren Bacall

What I like is that the book and it's story line brings back memories of how my mom tryed to raise me on Long Island, New York, her coming from the old school and similar advice. I never got to be the dancer and the artist I really wanted to be, like Lauren, my mom wanted me to just have a good job, I always wanted to be a movie star or someone famous. What I love about the book is that it originally comes from a library in New York and has the original stamp of the name of the library.
I decided to buy it, because in this stage of my life, I can relate with the title. Although there is nothing I dislike about the book, I was hoping it would be newer, but the authencity of the book and photos in it is fine with me.
I decided to buy the book because of the title, and have heard recently that I was a real ringer for a Lauren Bacall, especially since my hair accidentally turned out the same way as the forties which was an era I was always fascinated with and wished that I had experienced and lived during the million dollar movies era.
I also related with her tallness and tom boyish ways as a youngster and my hair was always sweeped off to the same side.
What else is there to say, the book makes me feel like I'm living my life all over again in New York.
