Religion & Gay Sexuality Converge & Become Compatible
    Review created: 11/09/08

This ever so timely film sensitively deals with stereotypes made by straight religious supremacists, challenging them when being both religious & gay is questioned by two young men. As they grow to know each other, they reach greater understanding of what being in love means, regardless of their previously held notions.

The story begins with a bet between friends. That bet challenges a Mormon missionary & a gay partier to rediscover themselves & to become close to each other.

While US denominations were (& still are) factionalizing over equal GLBT religious, civil & legal human rights, denominations went into deep schisms, it's ironic that a bet brings two religious gay men together. Perhaps this film could teach such tightly wound up denominations & churches how to have a respectable dialogue about the compatibility of spirituality & sexuality!~
