The Last of the Mohicans (VHS, 1993)

Russell Means and Eric Schweig are Awesome! Always a stellar performance. We need more movies with them as the main characters.

The cd of this wonderful movie was without the good music and the best scenes. If you want to watch the movie at it's best, the old vhs version is the only way to go! Thanks to ebay, I found a tape for a low price and have enjoyed several viewings of a truly good movie.

An absolute personal favorite. Incredible acting by Daniel Day Lewis and the supporting cast, especially Colm Meaney and Pete Postlethwaite - first rate character actors. The film was shot in Cades Cove and elsewhere near Ashville, North Carolina to stand in for the Hudson Valley of 200+ years ago. Visually a little different, but there isn't as much of the real place this beautiful and pristine left in NY and this part of NC is fabulous to look at. Great pacing and storyline. Well directed by Michael Mann and timeless with an excellent soundtrack to match. The best sort of movie to revist every couple years.

Great movie! I was replacing the movie in my collection that someone liked so well they took it! Several of us must like it very much. Lots of history and action, too.

I highly recommend it for the beautiful scenery, as well.

This is my husband's absolute favorite movie in the entire world. I wasn't all that impressed, and only half paid attention to the characters, who often looked alike to me. He assures me it's a great movie though. A classic if nothing else.
